Background
I am Iqrah Wali, a professional trainer and social worker from Aarath Narbal, Budgam, Kashmir. Born with low vision, I overcame many challenges while studying in mainstream schools and later pursued higher education in social work. I successfully completed my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Kashmir.
With one year of teaching experience at the Voluntary Medical Society, Srinagar, I have trained visually impaired students in computer literacy and assistive technology. My journey reflects both resilience and a commitment to empowering others with similar challenges. In addition to training, I also specialize in Kashmiri handicrafts and tailoring, which I practice as a creative and cultural pursuit.
Teaching Approach
My teaching philosophy is centered around inclusivity, patience, and empowerment. I design my sessions to be practical, accessible, and interactive, keeping in mind the needs of learners with different levels of vision impairment. I focus on building digital literacy, self-confidence, and independence.
