Course Description
This awareness program introduces participants to a wide range of assistive devices, digital tools, and smart solutions that can enhance independence and improve the quality of life for persons with low vision. Many individuals are unaware of the technologies available to support reading, writing, communication, mobility, education, employment, and daily living. Through live demonstrations and practical examples, participants gain an overview of optical aids, electronic magnifiers, wearable devices, smartphone-based solutions, AI-powered applications, and other assistive technologies. The program enables participants to explore these solutions and identify the most suitable options based on their individual visual needs, lifestyle, and goals.
