Course Description
This awareness program is designed to help participants understand what low vision is, how it differs from blindness, and the challenges faced by people with low vision in education, employment, mobility, and everyday life. Through interactive discussions, real-life examples, simulations, and demonstrations, participants gain a deeper understanding of the functional, social, and emotional aspects of low vision.
The program introduces different types of low vision, common myths and misconceptions, practical solutions, assistive devices, and strategies for creating inclusive environments. It equips educators, trainers, employers, families, community members, and other stakeholders with the knowledge and awareness needed to better support and empower persons with low vision.
