Reading Without Seeing Workshop for Persons with Vision Impairment

Course Description

This workshop is designed for persons with vision impairment and the larger community to create a belief system that visually impaired can lead an independent life and gain access to rewarding livelihoods by using solutions. This workshop orients persons with vision impairment to reading and writing solutions such as screen reader, mobile phone apps like EYE D and Google Maps, standalone and low vision solutions.

2000+ person with vision impairment and 200+ persons without disability have undergone this workshop conducted by Enable India and our partners like St. Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged and Book share. The workshop was originally designed by partner organization – St. Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged. 70% of the beneficiaries are using solutions for their daily living and education.
