Background
I am a digital literacy and employability trainer with over 4 years of experience working with persons with vision impairment. I previously served as Chief Digital Literacy Trainer and also handled responsibilities as a Project Coordinator at Kerala Blind School Society (KBSS), Aluva. During my tenure, I trained over 240+ learners and conducted awareness sessions for more than 700+ individuals, focusing on digital skills, accessibility, and career readiness.
Currently, I am working as a Senior Executive at Enable India, where I focus on empowering individuals through accessible digital education and inclusive training practices. I am passionate about creating practical, impact-driven learning experiences that enhance independence, confidence, and employability among persons with vision impairment.
Teaching Approach
I follow a learner-centered and practical approach to training, where the focus is on “learning by doing” rather than only theory. I ensure that trainees actively practice real-life tasks such as using digital tools, navigating applications with screen readers, and handling day-to-day technology independently.
I strongly believe in adapting my teaching based on each learner’s pace and background, as every individual learns differently. I focus on building confidence first, because once confidence is built, learning becomes much faster and more effective.
I also incorporate real-life scenarios, problem-solving activities, and continuous practice to make learning meaningful and relevant. Along with technical skills, I give importance to basic counselling and motivation, helping learners overcome fear, hesitation, and self-doubt.
My overall goal is not just to teach skills, but to make learners independent, confident, and ready for real-world challenges.
