Background

My name is Ashwini, and I am a person with total blindness (late blind). I am currently working as a Digital Literacy Trainer with 2 years of professional experience in training visually impaired individuals in computer and digital skills.

I have successfully completed the Trainer Certification Course (TCC) from Enable India, Bengaluru, as well as an ITI in COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) from the Government Industrial Training Institute, Nagpur. In addition, I have completed certified courses in Advanced Excel and Spoken English, and I am presently pursuing a Python programming course to further strengthen my technical expertise. I have been recently awarded with seeamillion star award.

I am committed to continuous learning and personal development, and I take pride in updating my skills regularly. Teaching and empowering others through knowledge is my passion. Beyond my professional role, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, which broadens my perspective and enriches my experiences.

Area of Expertise

I enjoy teaching new computer concepts and maintain patience while facilitating sessions. I have expertise in troubleshooting technical issues and providing clear guidance. I listen attentively to candidates’ concerns and address them effectively, often applying techniques such as emotional management to support their learning.

Teaching Approach

In my teaching methodology, I begin by encouraging candidates to read and present a script, which enhances their confidence and communication skills. I then provide clear verbal instructions and guide them through practical demonstrations to ensure thorough understanding. To support diverse learning needs, I incorporate peer learning, enabling stronger learners to assist those who require additional support. Furthermore, I explain each concept or method in multiple ways, ensuring that every learner can grasp the content effectively according to their individual learning style.

  • I am Juned Khan, 24 years old, a person with total blindness. I completed my matriculation in 2017 from Nanu High School, Mankapur, Nagpur, and my intermediate in 2023 from Alamin Junior College, Gorewada, Nagpur. At present, I am pursuing graduation. To enhance my skills and career readiness, I enrolled in the Foundation Course in Computer and Employability for Persons with Vision Impairment at Atmadeepam Society Nagpur collaboration with EnableIndia and with the support of Hexaware Technologies Limited. This course has been a valuable journey of learning and transformation for me. In the area of employability, I developed the ability to prepare and present reports with confidence and take on managerial responsibilities. I also understood the importance of effective note-taking and analytical thinking, which have helped me to improve my problem-solving and decision-making skills in both academic and professional contexts. Through English communication training, I gained a strong foundation in grammar and sentence structure. I practiced workplace conversations, which helped me build confidence in professional communication. I also developed storytelling techniques for clear expression and practiced writing formal applications and professional emails, which have improved my ability to express ideas in a structured and impactful manner. The computer training gave me comprehensive knowledge of digital tools. I learned keyboard orientation, navigation of the desktop, taskbar, and applications menu, as well as working with dialogue boxes and their controls. In MS Word, I practiced creating and formatting documents, inserting and editing tables, applying borders, changing font styles and sizes, and aligning text professionally. I also worked on writing formal applications and reports with proper formatting. In MS Excel, I learned to enter and navigate data, apply cell formatting with borders and font styles, and organize data systematically. I also acquired the skills to prepare result sheets and use formulas for calculations. These digital competencies have greatly enhanced my confidence in managing academic and workplace-related tasks independently. The life skills sessions provided me with valuable insights into managing emotions and setting SMART goals. I also learned the importance of visualizing future aspirations, which has given me clarity of direction and the motivation to pursue my personal and professional objectives. The mobility training taught me the principles of orientation and safe movement techniques. I practiced search methods, walking along a shore line, and crossing roads confidently with the assistance of a white cane. Before joining the course, I did not feel confident walking independently on the road. However, I can now move with independence and assurance, which has improved my overall quality of life. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my trainers, who taught me with great patience and dedication. Their guidance not only enhanced my skills but also instilled in me the discipline and confidence required for future employment. The values and habits I learned from them will continue to guide me as I move forward in my academic and professional journey. Overall, this course has been a turning point in my life. It has strengthened my skills in employability, English communication, computer operations, life management, and mobility, while also building my self-confidence and independence. I sincerely thank Atmadeepam Society, Enable India, and Hexaware Technologies Limited for providing me with this opportunity, and I remain deeply grateful to my trainers for shaping me into a more capable and confident individual, ready to embrace a brighter future.
