Course Description
A program for persons with low vision focusing on enabling and empowering them to use their existing vision to perform various tasks in offices/ educational centers with digital infrastructure.
Many persons with low vision face challenges in accessing computers and digital technologies because standard interfaces are often not designed to meet their unique visual needs. The Office Productivity course was developed to bridge this gap by providing structured, accessible, and practical digital literacy training tailored specifically for persons with low vision.
This intensive 8-week program equips participants with the skills to confidently use computers, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, web browsing, and other digital tools by utilizing built-in accessibility features and assistive technologies. Through personalized vision assessments, hands-on learning, real-world projects, and exposure to a range of low vision solutions, participants learn to customize technology to suit their individual needs. The program promotes independence, workplace readiness, and digital inclusion, empowering learners to pursue education, employment, and everyday digital tasks with confidence.
